Frequently Asked Questions

When do I pay for my session?  Full payment is due on the day of your session. I accept all major credit cards, checks made out to: Caitlin Killoran Photography, and of course, cash.

How long does a single session last?  A single session of any kind (excluding a large group and newborn) is schedule for an hour! However, we may not need all of this time to capture your best photographs! I shoot fast to ensure that we do not lose the child’s attention and before they get “sick” of it!

How long does a newborn session last? This session can last anywhere from 2-4 hours. It all depends on how long it takes to get your precious baby to sleep, eat, etc!

Who should come to the session? For a family session, I recommend only bringing the people involved in the session, or sometimes it can get to overwhelming for your children! In cases of a single child session, I also recommend 2 adults at maximum, and to find other arrangements for other children in your family. I LOVE KIDS! However, sometimes, if there are too many people around when the shoot is taking place, it can become more of a ‘distraction’ versus helping!

What will help my child behave for photos? I highly recommend the REWARD SYSTEM! This can include getting to have a special treat, going to a favorite place to eat, reading a special book afterwards, or having a special activity planned for afterward!

What should I wear to my session?  Please refer to the Styling Tips page.

How long will it take to get my pictures?   This varies depending on the season, however I base my business on having a fast turn around for my clients! I always try to have your pictures to you within 2-3 weeks, if not sooner! You will also receive a ‘sneek peek” via facebook or private message!

How will I receive my pictures? After editing your session, I will place them in a private link online that allows you to download your images and order prints if you'd like.

Where should I print my photos after my session?  You are welcome to order prints directly from your personal gallery, which I highly recommend as the quality is fantastic.  However, you do receive a print release and are welcome to print your photos wherever you'd like.
